The Beginners Course is the option if you wish to take up archery and join a club as this will cover much more detail than a taster session and provide more coaching.
Our four week Beginners Course is for those interested in learning about archery the techniques and styles of equipment. All necessary equipment is provided at no additional cost.
Book Beginers Course
The beginners course runs for three hours over four weeks and include getting kitted out with a bow and arrows based on your reach, strength and dominant eye along with safety equipment.
The sessions are run by one or more of our qualified coaches and instructors (depending on availability and numbers of participants) and will cover:
Week 1

Recurve bows, arrows and other required equipment

Rules and safety

Shooting technique including stance, positioning, options for aiming

As many questions as you can come up with over the course of the session
Week 2

Assembling and taking apart your own kit

Shooting with a sight
Week 3

The differences in types of bow and what to look for when looking to purchase your own kit. Remined you of the bows you have already shot, Recurve - barebow and sighted and demonstrate Longbows, Flatbows, Horse bow and Compound bows.

Working on improvements in your preferred style of shooting either Recurve (with a sight) or Barebow (without a sight)
