Risk Assessment

The club has a responsibility to provide an acceptable level of safety for both its archers and members of the public on all of our ranges.

As a club, we do this by ensuring that we have in place a risk assessment; a tool that we can use to assess the level of risk and the steps that we can, and have, taken to ensure that the risk is reduced and maintained.

Our risk assessment is reviewed each November to ensure the day to day safety of our membership and any visitor to the range, in addition to any ad-hoc event that is planned.

It is important that we, as a club, remember that despite these measures, we cannot remove all the elements of risk and that we each ensure that we are familiar with the range rules and this risk assessment, to continually play our part in keeping our club a safe place to shoot.

The risk assessment can be found here.
