The club coaching team is running a short survey to better understand how we can meet the clubs coaching needs for both new members as well as existing members during 2023/24.

How long have you been doing archery?

Have you had any coaching on your technique?

As this is a very wide subject base - below are some suggestions of topics that could be covered. Please select as many as you wish.

For the Archer - General technique; posture; setup etc.

For the Bow - Setup; Tuning; Sights; Stabilisers; maintenance.

For the arrow – types of arrows; matching spine to bow poundage; fletching; making arrows from shafts.

For the string – maintenance; repair; servings; nocks; making strings.

Intro to competitions – what to expect; scoring; etiquette; dress code.

Classification – what's it about: outdoor rounds; indoor rounds; Archer; Bowman; Master Bowman; 252 and 300 schemes.

Types of Archery -Target; Field; Clout; Wand; Popinjay.

What else would you like coaching on?

Would you consider attending county coaching sessions, once a month, during the winter on Saturdays in Essex? These are run by more experienced senior coaches.

What would have been useful to have covered with you following your beginners course, to help you understand archery and Archery GB better?
